What these extensions do with your data
Free use requires no account. The publisher operates no server for these extensions, and they contain no analytics and no advertising. Unless you buy a paid plan (see below), the publisher collects nothing, stores nothing and receives nothing from you.
Each extension reads a page only for its own purpose, and what it keeps stays in your browser storage on your device:
- Prisme reads the page open in the active tab while its side panel is open, to compute its SEO, GEO and Local scores, and asks that same site for its public
robots.txtandllms.txtfiles, from your browser. It keeps your language, the addresses of the pages you chose to audit today (to count the free daily audits), the history of audits you asked for (address, date, scores, failed checks), the last report you exported, the sites, brands and questions you follow in the ChatGPT tab with the answers you paste or receive and what was found in them, your reminder choice and the progress of its welcome screen. It never reads chatgpt.com. If you enter your own OpenAI API key, the key is kept in your browser storage and is sent only to api.openai.com, with the text of your questions, when you click to send them; OpenAI bills you directly and the request asks OpenAI not to store the response (store: false). Pages you analyze are not sent anywhere. - ShortFade keeps its settings and your daily YouTube watch time, with your limit for each day, to show your streak and weekly recap.
- ShopProof (formerly StoreLens) reads the open store page and asks that same store for its public pages and product list. Stores you choose to track are saved in your browser only: address, name, dates, a compact catalog snapshot (product ID, title, lowest price, compare-at price, variants in stock), best-seller order, review counts, apps and theme seen, a journal of changes and a daily summary. It also saves your chosen goal, your own store if you mark it, the name you enter for reports and your notification choice. Auditing a store without tracking it saves nothing. Daily reading, when you allow it for a store, sends requests directly from your browser to that store, without your cookies. Removing a store deletes its data.
- Postulio keeps the job offers, notes and follow-up dates you save, and the days you used it, to show your streak.
- TubeLens reads the figures already present in the open YouTube page. It keeps data only for the videos you choose to follow: title, channel and view counts, to show views gained.
- PaperSide keeps your notes, highlights and review dates for the papers you annotate, and the dates you wrote notes, to show your streak.
- NicheDoor reads the Amazon page open when you click its icon and, if you ask, up to 10 product pages from the same Amazon store. It keeps data only for the niches you choose to follow: niche name, page address, dates, top 10 product identifiers, medians and verdict, to show what changed. It also keeps your chosen store. It never reads your Amazon account or orders.
- ReplayFix stores only on your device: your journeys (addresses without tokens, values of ordinary fields, labels and nearby text of elements), measured durations, daily statistics (replays, time saved, repairs), your chosen frequency, favorites and reminders. These values are not encrypted, so avoid recording on a shared computer. Fields recognized as passwords, cards, CVV, IBAN, one-time codes, keys or files are not recorded. CSV rows and values asked at replay stay in session memory. No screenshots. It runs on a site only after you grant access to that site, and only during a recording or a replay you started.
Apart from the payment described below and the OpenAI option of Prisme that you trigger yourself, this data is not sold, not shared and not sent to the publisher or to any third party. Removing an extension removes its stored data.
Paid plans
Prisme, ReplayFix and ShopProof offer a paid Pro plan: Prisme at $12 a month or $84 a year, ReplayFix and ShopProof at $9 a month, $59 a year or $99 once. The free plan keeps working without any account.
Payment is handled by ExtensionPay (extensionpay.com) and Stripe, under their own privacy policies. Using the free plan sends nothing to ExtensionPay. The first time you click a purchase button or the button for a purchase already made (“I’ve already paid”, “Restore my purchase”), the extension asks ExtensionPay for an anonymous key, even if you end up buying nothing, and from then on uses that key to check whether your plan is active. The key and the plan status (paid or not, payment date, plan) are kept in your browser storage, which Chrome may sync between your devices. A small script from ExtensionPay runs only on extensionpay.com pages, to tell the extension that a payment went through; it runs on no other site.
If you buy a plan, ExtensionPay and Stripe receive what the purchase requires, including your email address and payment details, which you enter on their pages and never in the extension. The publisher never sees your full card number and receives, through Stripe, what is needed to manage sales, refunds and accounting. Nothing you audit, record, track or keep in an extension is sent to them.
